Well, I emerged from the end of the semester relatively unscathed (a predeliction to taking spontaneous naps in the past two days, but that's to be expected). I successfully turned in a portfolio on Thursday detailing my growth over the semester (whee?) and the presentation was way less high stress than our professors set it up to be. Shocker, they were just trying to make us more anxious *shakes head*
I can't believe I finally get out of here and fly to California tomorrow. *would be giddy, but tired woah* My goal today is to clean my room majorly, go buy an NYU tshirt (Xmas present) and finish my Christmas cards. Partly because I know that I need to figure out the large amount of papers in here before I leave, so that I am not swallowed alive by them when I return. Also, I need to find all my textbooks, because some of them are ones I'm using next semester too and therefore should read over break.
The other thing, is the fun Xmas Wish list meme. I did a verison of this, but to follow the "rules", here it is really. Link to yours, please and thank you :o)
MY WISH LIST, by Flyakate:
1. Kid picture books. Used or not, as long as they are not falling apart. Soon-to-be-teachers are poor, yo. Especially wanted if these are books you liked as a kid and not
Where the Wild Things Are. XD
2. Recommendations of nice comfy not-sneakery grownup shoes, because I suck at finding shoes that don't give me blisters on my heels. *pouts*
3. Colorful, comfy, fun socks. Whee, socks.
4. Bouncy exercising music (or something fun/upbeat to listen to), because I need to exercise the student teaching eating-too-much-crap-ness off yesterday.
5. Music by Ladysmith Black Mombazo will win you everything, for life. *nods*
6.
Newsies? I mean, come ON, singing Christian Bale!
7. Cards/pictures/small artsy things to hang on the wall. Funky as you like, quotes are fabulous. Collages/original art is also amazing.
8. Fanfic, if that's your thing, totally rocks. Ummm, Firefly, Supernatural, Due South, especially, but also Dark is Rising, Dark Tower, and RENT, too.
9. Recipes of tasty, not ridiculously bad for you things. That are not hard to cook. Wow, coherent.
10. An elementary teaching job in California. Preferences near San Francisco, but near LA-ish is okay too. Hey, it could happen...
