So on [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, the "question of the day" is: Give us a sample of either your or one of your pup's to-do lists.

Now, I don't play there anymore (and really never did, except for approximately a week, combined), but my first thought was:

"Well, I know what Sam and Dean's to-do list is like!"

It's nice to know that my fic ideas are psychic.

*glees off to work*

Leg pain almost manageable and/or gone today, for great hurrah. I had a lovely brunch with [livejournal.com profile] prismakaos and her friend and went to the library to return some DVDs that I rented... and then never watched. So I have made it a rule that I can't rent any more Peter Wimsey miniseries until I watch something else. Yet, the restraint I meant to show otherwise... didn't happen.

So I am now the proud owner (for a weekish or so) of the following:

* Stardust on DVD (my inner steampunk is excited)
* Sneakers on DVD (my inner Milliwayser is pleased)
* the old animated Lord of the Rings (eee!)
* a disc of The Muppet Show
* Hammet: Complete Novels
* Early Autumn and Chance, by Robert Parker
* Fright, a lovely pulp looking mystery book with a swoony woman on the cover.

Of course, I still have Dearly Devoted Dexter (the books are fun even as they are departing from the show's storyline, or really vice versa) and All Shall Be Well; and All Shall Be Well; and All Manner of Things Shall Be Well (which I totally checked out because of the title, but there's a guy who changes his name to Tristan and wanders around as a Renaissance minstrel, it looks crazy cool!). So... yeah. Procrastination, ready.

After I post this I will move my computer back into my room, so I can commence Operation Cleaning the Room. It is a mess, and I need to do laundry in the worst way, because I am teaching plenty next week and who knows when I'll have time.

But the weather is gorgeous and I had the best idea for a John/Rodney fic involving body art that I have to write like yesterday. And Remix is done. So \o/

Hope you're all well, and happy belated to [livejournal.com profile] dogeared! I fail at celebrating people's birthdays actually on time. *facepalm*

OMG, it's D&D... LJ style. They're great.

Was updating and refining my interest list (yes, I AM that much of a dork). Am I the only one who's annoyed that we get no more that 150 interests? It's a pity, say true. But I am glad to say that "elaborate pan-fandom crossovers" is now one of my interests. And so is Simon/Kaylee. And Roger/Mark.

...

I win at life. Clearly.

Still home, excitingly enough. Happy Columbus Day, all! And, of course, Happy It's-Great-to-Live-in-Harrison Day, MusicJunkie! Yaaaay!

Had the most amazing soup last night: pumpkin-butternut squash. OMG. I'm still in a swoon over it. And we get to have more tonight! I love that my parents are on a soup kick! Ohh, and a couple nights ago I made some soup all by my little self: Cream of Red Pepper. It was extremely good too, especially cold. Mmmm...

I was up this morning at 9am to have an online chat about a project for my online class (it still boggles me that I'm working on a project with people that I possibly will never meet) which, seeing as I went to bed at 4am, wasn't so much fun. In self-defense, I then took a nap for most of the afternoon. And Pete, the kitty, slept on the end of my bed! And Lily-cat slept underneath it (with little kitty snores). It was so adorable. Then Bud* acted like he hadn't seen me in years when I came back downstairs. Short attention span, him.

I'm happy I have another day at home (where they feed me and I don't have to clean things very much) and then tomorrow back into the city for class. Maybe I'll be productive and do some more homework (my health assignment involves creating a lesson plan from a Shel Silverstein poem about Depression and Mental Health. Wahoo. Or, you know, I could start reading for my Science reaction paper on Wednesday. Or do some laundry.

...Or I could go entirely crazy** and actually start playing at [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar again. The temptation is growing, I tell you. I really need to bite the bullet and stop being a weird lurker and just PLAY. So perhaps tonight is the night, for many things. Huzzah.

Also rereading Show of Evil, a William Diehl courtroomy type thriller. If you've seen it/read it, it's the sequel to Primal Fear, of Richard Gere/Edward Norton fame. Although, if it actually was Gere/Norton, that would have been AMAZING. And probably have done better at the box office...

Okay, to work! Or to... something. Cheers!

**Though one could argue that for a given definition of crazy, I'm already there.
