My not so coherent thoughts about the 100th episode of Criminal Minds.

Why is it that every show, to create tension, decides to hit us with an evocative yet vague scene, then fade back to the "beginning of the story". Younger Sister and I have started calling it the "48 hours earlier" syndrome and it drives. me. CRAZY.

Dude, Anderson is the agent that almost got Elle killed! I honestly kept waiting for him to screw up again do something to impact the case. He was just a red herring! (/Clue reference)

Ahaha, so unsubtle with all the extra supporting stars. Hi Will! Hey Kevin! Hi JJ's son AJ Cook's real son! Aww, some normal domestic-ness in all of this. Aww, Garcia/Kevin OTP. I understand why Kevin is skeeved (he stabbed himself? kind of cracked me up) by Foyet but you'd think as an analyst for the fucking FBI, this is probably not the worst thing he's seen ever. Although I guess he works for not the creepy profilers, though canon is vague.

Ok, I understand that Reid is a genius, but wtf with the whole "dude, it's Peter Rehr!" How do you even know it's the right guy??? There are SO many names you can make with The Reaper, for God's sake.

I was starting to like Strauss; what's her damn deal? Although I suppose you can definitely read this as her being a bitch to protect the team (I was reading someone's fic with that bent, now I can't remember who it was). Who knows.

Yay, Hotch/Emily OTP!!! I can ship that. Also three cheers for Morgan, the man in charge, with his former SWAT-fu. Did anyone else think that Rossi's "you'll make the right decision, kid" remark was odd?

Sad, they've been staking an empty abandoned apartment. Although I heart the damn army of plainclothes that appear out of the woodwork. A nice change from the usual, where there's two agents ill-disguised who are talking into their wrists nonchalantly.

Oh, DB Sweeney, did you fold under the creepy torture? That's a bummer--OH, Foyet, you SUCK. Hayley, I like your hair dye, though. Jack is a cutie pie.

I like the subtlety of Emily's finger clenching before she goes in to Strauss. Nice touch of her anxiety amidst the compartmentalization. Everyone looks bizarrely tan in this episode--hahaha, I love Emily to large pieces.

Hotch, I love you. That's all, really. Aww, Hotch, insta-profiling for all the good it will do you. Oh, Thomas Gibson, you are a genius actor. You guys all are, seriously. Wow, this is so against protocol I don't even know what to do with it. That speech was genius (and totally redeemed Haley, along with the whole "code" to send Jack away. GENIUS, HOTCH, ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN.) and shit, Haley's dead... what about Jack? Oh dear, Haley's feet... Action Hero!Hotch is the best thing ever. I love it.

Wow, was that Strauss trying to be compassionate? That... almost worked. Sort of.

Across the board, I love everyone's POW tone when they answer Strauss's questions. Rank, file, serial number and stonewall her to death. Also Reid, the eidetic genius is my favorite in repeating back the conversation. More fodder for my fic about the burden of Reid's memory. Check that, Jack is now my favorite... I can't get over him.

I love the ending scene. Oh, team.

In cleaning this up, I really over use elipses (though I kept many of those) and the words "ok" and "the best thing ever" (many of which I fixed).

Gosh, I love that show. And don't even get me started about the adorableness of Danny and Lindsay on CSI: NY, because something about his kind of hilarious sense of humor and the nice New York solidity to his accent and it makes me happy. Though he does have terrible taste in sweaters...
