Got to my parents house yesterday afternoon, after an uneventful and nap-filled airplane flight. My newest mode of transport to and from JFK (AirTrain to the train to the subway) was fool-proof both ways. It was unreal to wake up this morning and be without someplace to go, really.
Except of course I've stumbled in to Flyakate Family Defcon 3, because Dad is writing a book (which means that Younger Sister is helping, strenuously) and I get sucked into the whole experience. Whoo?
But I bought the soundtrack to Once while in New York (and oh, Iron Man was brilliant, as I said, again. Still.) and saw friends, which almost makes up for the fact that Forrest is giving their job to someone else.
So I'm off to make a sandwich and put on some real clothes and read the first three chapters of Lessons from a Road Warrior (I heart my dad) and not stress too much.
Because stressing's overrated; especially when it apparently amounts of crap.
But hey, it's a sunny day and I just finished reading How to Eat Mangoes Naked: how to find pleasure everywhere and dancing with the pits!, so it could be worse.
