this land is no place for gods
Jul. 3rd, 2007 03:28 pmSince I've gotten to California, I've been SO good about exercising. More days than not I've walked all the way to Peet's Coffee, which is almost 4 miles roundtrip. Somedays it kind of sucks, and it always sucks walking back up the hill, but still. Booyah. I've lost a little more than 5 pounds. Whee! And I'm tan, especially for me. So that's awesome.
I find it easier when I listen to music, but I've walked much happily lately while I'm listening to American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Partly because I've read that book at least 3 or 4 times, so it helps to know even better who's saying what.
Also, Serenity is on HBO Family (of all things), which is always a fine choice for cinematic viewing. Mal/Serenity OTP, man :o)
