On Thursday night, Kendra and Kendra's awesome English husband and I went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. It was waaaaaaay fun, especially because the guy who played Bert was fabulous. He actually sounded English (and Neil would know, being it himself). The songs were great, and everyone acted extremely well. The sets were amazing, because Disney has the budget to do that kind of stuff.

So go, if you can. They have cheap tickets at 40 and 60 bucks, both of which you can see pretty well from. Makes me want to go see The Lion King something terrible... *makes note*

Yesterday, I continued my apparent New Yorker-ness by buying a pair of shoes (though they were 16 bucks, from Payless. Score) and splurging on a new cellphone... as my old one was apparently three years old. It is PINK now. How cute. Oh, and picking up Blade: Trinity for $10. The hotness! The CKR! The Ryan Reynolds snark! The... terrible acting. But still, totally worth 10 dollars. Mostly XD

The scary coldness of the past few days has abated again *knock on wood* and it is 43 right now. Yaaaaaaaay! I can't believe this is warm to me. I want it to be Spring. Actually, I want it to be April, so I can go to CA. Pls and thank yous.

Today, I am cleaning my room, doing a little homework and then off to late dinner with [livejournal.com profile] rhymester (with boyfriend) and her doctorly friends. This is exciting, because I don't know them. Hurray!

How's with all of you? Relax, it's Saturday! *bounces around*

I either did an awesome thing... or got totally conned. Funny how it can easily go either way in New York.

I was walking home from dinner with [livejournal.com profile] rhymester and friends and got stopped by this guy who told me the most amazing con story. He works on costumes for The Drowsy Chaperone and got locked out of his apartment and needs to get uptown to get a whole bunch of costumes (or something, it got complex) from where he left them before they get taken. I dunno, it was an elaborate story. He needed cab money.

I am still highly skeptical, but highly amused at the... vivid narrative he was painting. So, either way, he's 11 bucks to the good.

He says he will email me. If nothing else, I got a good story tonight, and all for the price of a movie ticket XD
