put me in, coach, i'm ready to play

Well, today is finally turning sunny, in that bright blue way that means it's probably cold outside (although warm enough in here for me to turn the heaters down a notch). Jes finally comes home today, so I went out to go "Jes grocery shopping", which meant buying yogurt, granola, hummus and pitas so when she comes in all jetlagged, she has food. Also, I still need to do some dishes.

I, on the other hand, will be on the Upper East side at a BBQ thrown by one of the guys on my softball team. It'll be the first "party" I've been to in a long time. I swear, BMC should really give an elective in "so you've spent the past 4 years without boys... how do you reacclimate?" or something like that. If nothing else, to prepare you for the predominance of beer :o)

As I vaguely alluded to in my last post, I've been... emailing with one of the guys on my team for the past weekish. I'd say "flirting" but I don't really know if we are. But he's really cool; we bonded over liking the Daily Show and Family Guy, and send each other amusing videos on YouTube. For example, I think all of desperately need to see this hamster. But he'll be at the BBQ too, so we'll see if anything else occurs. We... might have coffee on Monday? Who knows, but it's entertaining! *giggle*

Oooh, and apparently tomorrow there's a Medieval Fair at the Cloisters on 190th Street (or rather, the park up there). Maybe I'll have to rearrange my homework schedule to go. 'Cause how often does one of those happen, honestly! Not that I exactly have medieval garb...

Read 4 more chapters in The Teaching of Reading
Work on narrative draft
complete running records (5 of them)
read 1/2 of Launching the Writing Workshop
Write 10-15 page paper!?!?!?!? Ew
Write Student teaching journal and weekly log.
Decide what I'm teaching on Wednesday
Write subsequent lesson plan.
