all words are pegs to hang ideas on
Jun. 8th, 2006 10:39 amI'm on my second vanilla latte (my stomach will hate me later, but oh well) and it's only 10:40am. Yes, I am awake before noon. I've been up since 7ish, actually. Working on a project due at 4pm that is... closer to being done than it was. I have a list to annotae, an introduction, and part of my "method of choosing resources". It's a project for Social Studies Methods about China's Cultural Revolution, if you care. Interesting stuff, which you should totally teach to little kids! Well, at least some version of it. It's better than just sticking with "Chinese New Year" and a textbook that tells you they ate dogs*.
Oooh, need more sugar in my latte. I am such a coffee wuss; but I am needing the caffeine. Because, five hours of sleep does not a happy Flyakate make. No.
I'm so excited about the reunion this weekend.
rhymester and I are leaving tomorrow at noon, and I'm sure I'm going to be the big dork who brings her textbooks. Maybe I'll get some reading done, especially if the weather continues in its soggy, rainy state. Aww, I've missed Massachusettes (I feel like I spelled that wrong, but looking it up is too much procrastination *sigh*).
Anywho, controvery. China. Social Studies. Five hours until class. Noooo problem. I think.
*I know that there is more to China than this, yes**. Sadly, however, this was MY education about China as a kid. No dogs were harmed in the making of this post. Or, indeed, project. XD
**Although this reminds me, that the last time my Dad was in China, they made him eat a SEA SLUG. He named it Horace. My father is strange.
