I'm kind of a fan of making books into movies, because sometimes... it works. However, watching the Disney version of A Wrinkle in Time is just disappointing. Not because it's not interesting, or doesn't try to make the weird world of the book. But because it IGNORES the world created and decides to make it weirder in different ways than the book. I mean, IT's takes over minds. Weird, creepy. But in this movie it's just bizzare and slightly funny and just... silly. Although, IT is Kyle Secor, otherwise known as Bayliss from Homicide. But a weird campy Kyle Secor. It could have been creepy, but.. apparently not. And a scene where Meg... talks to herself. So a scene with TWO MEGS. Why? It's just... stupider than the book deserves. Did the script writers read the book? Did the actors? Did the actors actually get some kind of DIRECTION?

... I feel the answer to all of thse is no.

Ironically, the Beasts are kind of cute (but they shouldn't have mouths!?!?! they speak by telepathy through tentacles! Jeez, guys, come on...)

And, to conclude, why didn't SOMONE fix the actress who plays Meg's hair. I understand that her ponytails are very "oh I go to grade school and dress myself in a dorky not very good way" but it's just distracting. It's that weird half-ponytail/bun thing. Baaaaaaad. And it didn't need to be. *sigh*

Also, Meg needs to be less bitchy and to wear glasses... otherwise the whole point of Mrs. Who's glasses is totally unparalleled and unthematic. Poorly done, guys
