Funny thing about Boston...
Jan. 5th, 2005 06:52 pmSnow really gets in the way of job interviews. Have definitely rescheduled both of mine (one was forcibly done so by the people who were giving it) so here I am, home for my birthday. Which'll be nice. Talked to the Boston-bound crew, who were knee-deep in hilarity and stuck in Hartford. Granted, this is several hours ago, but the pictures of traffic on the news are not pretty. It's nice to sit here and just smell the chicken cooking downstairs and know that I woke up before noon. Quite proud of myself, really. This is a big step for me.
Amusement of the day: they apparently make cherry vanilla diet Dr. Pepper. Does that seem wrong (or even just repetitive) to anyone else? I thought the whole point of Dr Pepper* was that it already tasted like cherry. My bad. I am quite ready to try some, whenever Younger Sister takes a break from writing her humongous paper on Economic Something-or-Other. I will report back.
Recommendations all coralled into home base, ready to be sent out into the world of grad schools. I feel very much like Mary Shelley letting her monstrous progeny forth. Or maybe I just feel like a dork. It's up in the air. :o)
And now to dinner! Cheers!
*Is it Dr. Pepper or Dr Pepper? Dot or not? Hmmm...
