Wow, it's been... two months (???) since I've done this, so here we go, the lovely Rec Triad. You missed it. You know you've missed it. Stop denying it to yourself XD
A Fic:
This is really multiple fics recced into one, because if you haven't heard of
copperbadge's "Stealing Harry" Harry Potter AU universe, there woah, click the first chapter of "Stealing Harry" here. It's based on the premise that Sirius (and Remus) got lost on the way to finding Peter Pettigrew, and Lucius Malfoy is in Azkaban for killing Peter instead. There is a bookshop. And a toy named Frog. And, be warned, some adorably hot Sirius/Remus eventually. Sam's working his way through the books now (he's in the middle of year three) and they're fantastic. So if you have lots of free time, read them.
A Movie:
Shattered Glass, which is based on the true story of Stephen Glass, a writer/editor for the New Republic magazine who, it turned out later, fabricated over half of his stories either in part or entirely. Hadyn Chrstiansen is Glass, smarmily and hottly convincing, and there are lots of great names playing "supporting cast" (Hank Azaria is awesome as one of his head editors, as is Peter Sarsgaard, who you might remember as John Malkovich's son in Man in the Iron Mask. Brilliant, the pair of them). I caught it on tv a couple weeks ago and couldn't stop watching it.
A Book:
I just finished two books by SARK, and I really recommend the Bodacious Book of Succulence (her website is here), which is joyously entertaining in a soulful sort of way. Mostly, her books are great because they are all handwritten, literally the pages looks like notes you make in class, with little doodles and jots and pictures. They're just pretty and amusing to have around. I was reading it before bed and her books always cheer me up. So go check them out.

Off to do some homework by the water, because it's gorgeous out. Have a lovely Sunday, everyone!
