Wanted to stick pictures in here, but still messing about on Photoshop. So those will be along eventually, but first, another Elementary!verse shot of the boys! Meant to happen on Joe's birthday in celebration of the gorgeous pics on sheafrotherdon's journal, but such was not mean to be.

Back to Northern CA tomorrow, because I'm subbing the rest of the week... and the week after that, and after that, etc. Bit of a bummer, but I suppose vacation has to end sometime. For some reason (probably the end of free time) I was overwhelmingly sad as I fell asleep last night, but I'm confident that my new enjoyment of running about, etc. will cheer me up.

Birthday last night was nice in a low key way: onion soup and chicken (yum) with Mom and Dad and Younger Sister. Apparently I'm getting a Wii, though it is stuck in transit somewhere. So that's a cool thing to look forward to. I also go a Cuisinart and some nifty colored bowls, so I can make soup, as long as it's for only four people *snerk*

Now I am in desperate need to pack so I can get to sleep so I can get up and drive for approximately ever. On the plus side, I got the complete set of the audio CDs of the Chronicles of Narnia, so I plan to while away the hours listening to Patrick Stewart and the like. Though I think I will start with Prince Caspian first, as The Last Battle is a little too depressing to begin on.

Over the holiday, the family has gotten hooked on Dexter, which is a delightfully dark show about a serial killer (don't worry, he only kills bad guys!) who works for the police. Strangely enough, you start really rooting for him, and because we don't have Showtime at our house in the north, Younger Sister and I powered through the entirity of season 2, mostly in the past few days. Second Oldest Sister gave us the first season on DVD, so I'll have that to console myself with before Younger Sister deigns to grace me with her presence. Seeing as we never cook anything and our house is freezing, I don't blame her staying here. XD

alichacco, how much longer are you up north? You and me and Diana should try to get together to dish about NYC!

Okay, reaaaaaallly need to pack now, otherwise I will never get any sleep. See you where it's (comparatively) colder and (definitely) more Northern!
