So on my drive up from South to North, I always pass a sign for the WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE and it always makes me want to write an AU where the family owns one of those haunted houses where they give tours as some kind of cover for hunting in the meantime. And Sam doesn't believe, because it's all just tourist crap, but then one day...

So anywho, I found the website for the place. It's less "oooh, creepy" than the sign suggested (it had a smiling SKULL on it, for goodness sake) but I think I might have to go visit sometime anyways. I mean, it has stairs to the ceiling!

Oh, the Winchester Mystery House! Haha! It is definitely more kitschy than spooky. It does not at all live up to the hype about it. They have billboard all over. My stepdad says there's a billboard for it all the way over by the Mississippi River! (Or at least there was when his family made bunches of cross-country road trips eons many years ago.) It's definitely still worth a visit, though, for some good old-fashioned kitschy fun. :)

Yay, kitschy is so hard to spell (I admit, I had to cheat and look and how you spelled it ;o) )! I'll have to see it sometime, because the idea of a crazy rich lady building a ginormous house of crazy is kind of appealing.

Despite the lack of the "other" Winchesters, haha.
