The way my air conditioner is flowing, there must be a funny smelling something that was outside. It made my room smell sort of car exhaust-y and ew. But it seems to be gone now. Huzzah.
The weekend down in PA was excellent. Many sorrys to the Philly Uncut kids, because as soon as I hit the home of
capedcrusader92 I never left. For great justice cat snuggling. And amazing Suprise brownies. Not to mention the chinese food. Mmmm... yum.
It was lots of fun just lazing about and reading--even though I was reading Dev Psych books, it was nice. Some of the chapters I'm still a little WTF about understand them, but hopefully class will clear that up. The stuff on rites of passage was extremely interesting; I accidentally read all of that. Fun fun. And the kitties there are AMAZING. Snuggly and funny and they like to play with feather toys. So cute. Also, on Saturday there was joy because I suprised
kumquat_queen by being there. Much rambly talking and food occurred. It's great hanging out with people where none of us have to be entertained, and we've known each other so long. OMG almost 8 years? Woah.
At the moment, I am gearing up to take a shower and then go buy cat crunchies for Older Sister's kitties. I had a plan to go home today, because I am desperately seeking my printer, but so far Mom hasn't called me back. Hmpfh. Going home isn't exactly critical, but I really want my printer so I don't have to go all the way to school to print a paper, I want my vcr so I can use this tv as more than a large paperweight, and perhaps to get some more clothes. 'Cause fall is coming, which means sleeves.
Also, am feeling geared up to cook actual dinner tonight.
capedcrusader92, could I have the recipe for Idiot Beef? Any other suggestions, friends? Something mildly easy would be preferable.
Mondays are pretty good days. Especially when you don't have class until tomorrow. At 5. :o) Cheers!

Date: 2005-09-12 09:35 pm (UTC)Put chopped onions and oil in a pan and do cooking-things to them. When they're sort of see-through, add the beef. Let that cook around until it's no longer bleeding (i.e. cooked through and kinda browny-gray), drain out the excess fat, and add ketchup, soy sauce, and sugar until it starts tasting good. Finally, if you're so inclined, toss in some chopped vegetables, cook it for as long as you feel like, and then eat it. Well, turn off the stove and put it on a plate first, of course. Goes very well with rice.
Can we tell I don't cook much? ;-)
