Standing in the library at grad school, about half an hour away from my first class. I was going to update last night after I got back from registering for classes (they say that by making orientation five days long, it's easier; mostly I think they just want to draw out the suspense and cut down on students by killing us with stress BEFORE we start school) but instead I went home, had some soup--mmm, soup--and took a nap. I have classes, hurrah for me! While the kept trying to make the concept of online registration really really complicated by stressing how important it all was; it wasn't that hard. So I am taking:
--Science in Childhood Ed: I got to buy a book full of all those Mr. Wizard-type science experiments, like how to understand geology by looking at the strata of a PB&J sandwich. I have no idea what they'll make me do in this class, but I'm excited. That's what I have today. *bounces*
--Instruction/Curriculum - Students with Disabilities: This is my required Special Ed class. Only one book! My credit card is thankful.
--Developmental Psychology: Childhood: Pretty self-explanatory. Big honking hardback book titled Development of Children, big shock. Probably lots of reading.
--Heath Ed for Teachers: This is online. !!! Kind of exciting.
So, to recap, I have class T, W, and TH nights. I might be a "reading buddy" at an elementary school earlier in the days for class credit. I might just rejoice in my four day weekend. I'm still pondering on that one.
Life is good. I am actually really living in the city and going to grad school (just like PlaywrightTwin, who I had lunch with). I guess I grew up. Who knew? Except for the fact that I still have a teddybear on my bed. And a pretty pink blanket. w00t. Okay, off to class. Cheers!
PS:
capedcrusader92 don't be attacked by the kitties. Pillows made good barricades. Good luck?
