flyakateSo another day in 5th grade, but at least today I have the original assistant teacher, so we're doing this weird both of us being in charge type thing. Still, these kids just won't be quiet, so that's... awesome. As awesome as the fact that I woke up freezing and nauseous this morning. Woohoo.
The thing that's actually awesome is that I'm going to go play Ultimate Frisbee this afternoon at 5:45. There will be a smaller number than Sunday, but still fun. Yesterday, Younger Sister and I were at the park and kept getting accosted by small kids who were mesmerized by the lacrosse sticks. Which makes sense, because if you've never played it (or seen one, thank you California) then they look ridiciulously entertaining and cool. Too funny.
Fortunately for my sanity, they have lots of special classes (ie NOT ME) today, which is awesome. And Friday I'm back at Forrest teaching first grade; which, after this, seems kind of relaxing.
Turns out that classroom discipline (man, I've been wanting to send people to the office or SOMETHING, but that's not how they roll here) makes a difference. Who knew?Everyone XD
